Vic: Hulls said he knew nothing of Packer donation

MELBOURNE, Feb 6 AAP - Victorian Attorney-General Rob Hulls said today he had asked
to move portfolios before the 1999 state election, and before a Packer company donated
$100,000 to the ALP.

Mr Hulls, as Labor's gaming spokesman in opposition, was a strenuous critic of Crown
Casino, bought by Kerry Packer's Publishing and Broadcasting Limited (PBL) earlier in
1999.

Questions have been raised about the timing of Mr Hulls's switch of portfolios, the
